Choosing a Slack channel for Uptime alerts

Last updated: December 14, 2024

Step 1

To receive Uptime alerts to Slack, you first need to connect your Slack workspace to Glow.

When you’ve connected your Slack workspace, click into any website and then go to Uptime > Alerts:

Step 2

Click on the plus '+' icon to the right side of the Slack accordion to open it.

You’ll now see a dropdown menu containing all of your Public Slack channels.

Note: By default, Glow will only show your Public Slack channels. Learn how to show and post to Private Slack channels.

Select the channel from the list that you want to be notified whenever this website goes down (and comes back online).

Step 3

If you want to save these notification settings for all the other websites in your account, click the checkbox below the Slack accordion and then hit Save.

You’ll now receive Uptime alerts to your chosen Slack channel.
